About TechCrunch Talk event

The TechCrunch Talk event is aimed at bringing together the web 2.0 startup and VC community to debate the next phase of the startup world. It will feature three quick-fire panel discussions with the hottest entrepreneurs and investors selected for their leading views on the market, and with topics focused around the following themes:

  • Central and Eastern Europe is a hotbed of tech talent, but how best does it capitalise on this?
  • What will help CCE countries create the next Internet giants of the future?
  • What do startups need the VC community to do better?
  • What are investors looking for?
  • What are the hot trends?

The panel discussions will be followed by casual networking over drinks. TechCrunchTalk is a TechCrunch curated discussion get-together for start-ups in the UK and Europe, which focuses on a number of current and relevant themes for the technology start-up community. Its aim is to generate debate and a voice for the technology start-up community, to identify trends, themes, issues, challenges and developments within the community, the industry and the local vs. European environment.

It kicks off with an afternoon of discussing a pre-determined set of themes, with Mike Butcher, the editor of TechCrunch UK initiating and moderating the discussions, and finishes off with some drinks and informal networking, with more participants invited to party. Why should I be part of it? If you are in the technology business, if you are a start-up and interested in cutting-edge ideas, if you are interested in meeting with entrepreneurs, VC’s and Angel investors, and if you read TechCrunch UK or TechCrunch.com regularly, then this is a great opportunity for you to be part of the community and make your voice heard, as well as get new ideas. TechCrunch events, whether in the UK, US or in Europe are very popular, attended by decision makers, the venture community and dozens of members of the media.
