TMT.Ventures’08 Zagreb conference was held on Tuesday, October 28th in Zagreb, Croatia.
The conference on emerging trends and opportunities in Southeast Europe gathered entrepreneurs from Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, Poland and other CEE countries. The conference was also attended by investment funds representatives such as Fidelity Ventures, Intel Capital, Raiffeisen Investment, Poteza Ventures, Eagle Ventures, RSG Capital and others.

Investment Manager at Intel Capital
Dan Lupu is Intel Capital’s Investment Manager responsible for investing in South- East Europe (Romania, Bulgaria, ex-Yugoslavia, Moldova, Albania). Dan holds an MBA (General Management) from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain and an MBA (Finance) from the Graduate School of Management, Canadian MBA Program in Bucharest. Dan received his BSc in Computer Science from University „Politehnica” in Bucharest. He is also CFA chartholder and founding member of the Romanian As- sociation of Financial Analysts, now CFA Romania. Prior to joining Intel Capital Dan was an Investment Executive with SigmaBleyzer which manages a EUR 250 million private equity investment fund focused on South-East Europe. Dan also has signifi- cant experience as a sell-side equity research analyst working in Romania, Egypt and UK and covering a variety of sectors, from cement and white goods to pharmaceuticals and telecommunications.
In 2007 and 2008 New Europe Events together with Platinum Partners: MCI Management and Warsaw Stock Exchange organized a series of events in Warsaw, Prague, Kiev, Bucharest and Zagreb. These events were accompanied by an informational campaign targeting the most innovative managers ad entrepreneurs operating in the space of new technologies in Central Europe.
